Matthew Purcell founded Owensboro Insulators in 2011, growing and evolving the company over the past 12 years. As a third-generation home builder, Purcell said he recognized a need in Owensboro and the surrounding community for an insulation contractor.
For 12 years, Purcell and his team have operated with solid attention to detail, excellent customer service, and high-level knowledge of building performance.
The company began with one employee and one truck, quickly establishing itself as a resident expert on insulation. Purcell promptly realized there was more to the insulation business than construction material.
“We were not only installing the insulation products – we were helping customers achieve a more comfortable living space with increased efficiency and lower utility costs,” Purcell said.
As the fleet and team continued to expand, they added spray foam insulation to their list of services. They also expanded their territory to include Henderson, Evansville, Madisonville, and other tri-state towns and counties.
In 2018, Owensboro Insulators added Home Performance – a new branch of service specializing in making spaces more comfortable, efficient, cleaner, and healthier. Those services include air duct cleaning and air duct sealing.
Purcell said they regularly lean on industry leaders Rotobrush and Aeresol in their efforts to establish themselves as premier indoor air quality specialists.
Purcell was also quick to mention that the long-standing success is a direct reflection of his team and their commitment to providing quality services.
“The team is what makes Owensboro Insulators successful,” he said. “The community realizes that there are many companies to choose from when hiring a contractor. However, the pride our team takes in their job and the customer experience they offer is something that lasts long after the job is complete.”

“Owensboro Insulators takes great pride in being ingrained in the community with involvement with local associations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Owensboro Home Builders Association, and Habitat for Humanity,” Purcell said.
